Biochemistry

The Department of Biochemistry is recognized for its academic activities, teaching, clinical laboratory work and research. Presently more than two dozen research projects sponsored by various funding agencies including Department of Science & Technology (Govt. of India), Council of Scientific & Industrial Research

Anatomy

The department of anatomy promote use of information technology and advanced software in teaching learning and research and to equip the department with Virtual Dissection table. The department is also involved in international collaboration for learning, teaching and research activities.

Community Medicine

The department was a recognized training centre for in-services training of Medical Officers working in Integrated Child Development Service Scheme of the Department of Social Welfare and nucleus of National Services Scheme of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Microbiology

The department has contributed immensely to the teaching, training, patient care services and research in Microbiology.

Medicine

The unit is actively engaged in research and in training of resident doctors from the Provincial Medical Services. It is equipped with gastroduodenoscopies, colonoscopes, videoendoscopic, electrocoagulation machines, ultrasound and 1000 MA X-ray machine with image intensifier.

Nursing

Nursing is an art as well as profession of scientific care. Nursing is a unique profession with a primary focus that encompasses autonomous and collaborative care of the individuals of all ages, families, groups and communities, sick or well and in all settings. It includes the promotion of health, the prevention of illness, and the care of ill, disabled and dying people. Nursing continues to be an indispensable service in the health care sector. Nursing practice is also continuously dynamic as it grows continuously through health care, research, education, quality improvement and advocacy.
